Skouries Metal and Gold Industry

SKOURIES is a mining project located in the Chalkidiki Peninsula in northern Greece, owned by Hellas Gold S.A. a subsidiary of Eldorado Gold Corporation. The plant feed capacity is 8,050,000 tpa and the design life of the project is 25 years. The products of the plant are copper (Cu) concentrate and gold (Au).

The plant is consisting of the following process and utilities areas:

·         Tailings thickening system

·         Lime plant

·         Utility water system

·         Fire-fighting water system

·         Mine water system

·         Potable water system

·         Tailings disposal system

·         Dams reclaim water system

·         Sanitary sewer system

·         Workshops, stores, offices and amenity buildings

·         HV open switch yard and substations

DAE for being civil consultants for the Owner, were responsible for the detailed civil and structural design - based on the Basic Design performed by ENOIA S.A and OUTOTEC during the first stage and JACOBS during the second stage of the project.
