Old Egio Hospital
Repair and restoration of the old Egio Hospital, which was damaged by the 1995 earthquake. This historical building was reformed in order to operate as a cultural centre.
All masonry walls were reinforced by using mortar injections, while a reinforced concrete layer was positioned on the inside and all wooden floors were replaced by concrete slabs, creating thus a rigid diaphragm on the basement roof. The wooden roof was replaced and the new one rests on a perimeter concrete lintel on top of the masonry walls.
